FWF - About

Welcome To Fashion Workforce UK

'Advancing education within the fashion and creative industry'

Fashion Workforce UK – was first established in 2008 and is a non-profitable organisation. We aim to empower young people from the ages of 11-19 with the skills needed to be successful within the fashion industry. Fashion workforce UK (FWUK) is one of the only social enterprises in the UK specialising in fashion design.

The organisation works with the unemployed and those from disadvantaged backgrounds who have an interest in fashion. We also work with adults of all ages offering intense practical training.

At Fashion Workforce UK we support prevailing fashion designers; this includes those from our projects and also outside. This is done by providing opportunities for their work to be recognised by independent fashion buyers, publicists and a whole range of industry hosts scouting fresh new styles for the industry. Our vision is to re-establish the clothing manufacturing workforce in the UK, as the current manufacturing market is greatly focused on mass production.

We understand the importance of providing young people with direction and guidance from a young age. This is done by ensuring they make effective decisions which will positively shape their future. The courses we offer ensure that young people are given practical and theoretical skills. We bring out their creative sides, and encourage self-expression.
