Summary of Organisation

Fashion Workforce UK is one of the few charitable organisations in the UK specialising in Fashion design. The organisation take pride in encouraging individuals with necessary skills both needed to maintain further development within the creative industry.

With a growing team which make it their duty to continuously carry out primary research in order to ensure a high standard.

Organisation goals

Fashion Workforce UK aims to support individuals from all ages and backgrounds but give priority to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. This will give them a better understanding of opportunities available within the fashion and textile industry and the practical skills needed to make a career for themselves within the industry.

We ensure that all our facilitators are fully and regularly trained in order to maintain a high standard and guarantee the progress of students is made a priority.


Vision

  • To help re-establish a strong and high quality manufacturing workforce within the UK
  • To establish a manufacturing operational centre employing up to 50 people by 2015
  • To start an all year round after school fashion design program for 11-16 years old within borough of London
  • To train offenders in prison and ex-offender outside with the manufacturing skills needed to work within the fashion industry
  • To open a junior fashion school by 2015 targeting 11-16 years old.
